PowerAG’s Amino Acid Technology: AmiTek is a brand used by PowerAG to identify when amino acids are a key part of product formulations. We have been testing amino acids for use in foliar and soil applications and the AmiTek package will be included in many of our products.

Amino acids are organic molecules that play a vital role within the biological processes that help plant development. Our AmiTek is derived from plant-based proteins that support physiological and metabolic functions within the plant and enhance plant productivity.

A Phosphorus Solubilizing Bacteria: Bacillus phosphaticum is a microorganism that improves the soil’s potential to provide nutrient requirements for plants. The fate of Phosphorus is that it forms apatites with the salts present in the ground and becomes as Phosphate minerals binding with Aluminum and Iron in acid soil and binding with Calcium and Sodium in alkaline soil—all less accessible to plants.

To make these Phosphate minerals available for plant uptake, growers can add microorganisms that produce organic acids capable of converting these forms of Phosphorus to a soluble format like hypophosphites. Added to PowerAG product formulations, Bacillus phosphaticum acts as a Phosphorus solubilizing bacteria.
