ProShield: Guard Against Wildlife Foraging
ProShield is a scent and taste wildlife repellent designed to protect row crops, specialty crops, ornamentals, gardens, nursery stock, and forestry plantings from wildlife feeding and damage. When applied as directed, ProShield provides 8 to 12 weeks of repellency, even under heavy rainfall conditions. Its scent creates an effective barrier that discourages feeding, browsing, and antler rubbing. For best results, apply thoroughly to all vulnerable plant surfaces, including foliage, stems, shoots, trunks, and bark. Reapply every 8 to 10 weeks, or sooner if wildlife activity returns or rapid new growth develops. Fall applications may provide winter-long protection on Christmas trees and other woody ornamentals.
Use Rates
- Row Crops: Apply 1.5–2 pt/acre. Use up to 20 gallons of water per acre as the carrier.
- Garden Fruits and Vegetables: Apply 1.28 oz/gallon of water (1% v/v) to fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and other susceptible plants. ProShield may be applied up to the day of harvest for edible crops.
- Christmas Tree Plantations, Forestry, Ornamental Trees and Landscape Plantings: For dilution sprays, apply 1.28 oz/gallon of water (1% v/v) to ornamental plants growing in managed landscapes, Christmas tree plantations, and forestry plantings. Overapplication may temporarily affect the appearance of “blue” plant cultivars, such as blue Hosta. This effect is cosmetic only and does not impact long-term plant health. If concerned, treat a small test area and evaluate results after 24 hours prior to large-scale applications.
- Food Plots: Apply 0.64–1.28 oz/gallon of water (1% v/v) to reduce premature wildlife feeding in food plots, allowing crops to reach full nutritional value before grazing occurs.
