CitraCore: Penetrant • Spreader • Wetting Agent
CitraCore is a powerful surfactant designed for use with insecticides, miticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators, defoliants, and nutrients. It provides superior spreading, penetration, and uniform distribution, enhancing both the physical and chemical properties of the spray solution. CitraCore also helps overcome water repellency on leaf surfaces, ensuring better absorption and effectiveness.
How Does it Work?
CitraCore essentially encapsulates or surrounds the active ingredient in your tank mix and delivers that product onto the leaf surface. The citrus and wintergreen oils then mix with the natural oils on the leaf, softening the surface and allowing the pesticide to penetrate into the plant. Once that’s done, the CitraCore evaporates, and the leaf surface closes back up, helping to protect the plant again.
Use Rates
- Herbicides, Insecticides, Fungicides, Miticides, and Foliar Nutrients: 1–4 pt/100 gallons of water. Use higher
rates on weeds with waxy or hairy leaf surfaces that are hard to penetrate. - Defoliants/Desiccants: 1–2 qt/100 gallons of water
- Aerial: 1 oz/gallon of water
Optimize Pesticide Performance
CitraCore helps soften and dissolve natural coatings on leaf cuticles to improve the absorption and uptake of systemic pesticide applications.
The image below shows how CitraCore boosts the efficacy of systemic herbicides.
Did You Know?
CitraCore also functions as an excellent tank cleaner. When switching between crops or spray programs, be mindful that residues in lines and filters from previous applications may be broken down and flushed out. To avoid unintended crop effects, always clean tanks thoroughly between applications.
